HeadTune

Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

HeadTune doesn't collect any data about you. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn't include anyone else's code that does.

The microphone

HeadTune listens through your phone's microphone only while it's open, to measure the pitch of your drum. It does this on your phone, as each hit happens. Nothing it hears is recorded, kept, or sent anywhere.

What stays on your phone

Your drum sets, the notes you tune to, and your settings are kept on your phone, and nowhere else. Like any app's data, they may be included in your phone's backups to your Apple or Google account, if you back it up. Deleting HeadTune deletes them.

Purchases

HeadTune Pro is bought through Apple on an iPhone, or Google Play on Android, which handles your payment. HeadTune never sees your payment details, your Apple Account or your Google Account. To know whether you have Pro, it asks the App Store or Google Play on your phone, and nothing about your purchases is sent to us. Apple and Google give us sales reports, which don't include your payment details.

Crash reports

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers on your iPhone, or usage and diagnostics on Android, Apple or Google may send us reports of HeadTune crashing, which don't identify you. On an iPhone you can turn this off under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, and on Android under Usage & diagnostics in your phone's Google settings.

Children

HeadTune doesn't collect anything from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new one will be posted here, with the date it takes effect.
